A Thunderstorm Tuesday

If I hope to wean my masking tendencies away, it's gonna require collaboration and trust with other people, right? I figured what better way to do so in a sacred space with a medicine woman, a dear friend, and amongst like-minded people.

A Thunderstorm Tuesday
Abstract doodle inspired by the thunderstorm weather and gray clouds of today

It's a Thunderstorm Tuesday! Yipeeeee!

The weather is pretty predictable in Las Vegas, especially during the summers. Think dry heat that is hot, hot, and more hot. Average summer temperatures are over 105F/40C, but have hit 115F/46C. However, we do get monsoon season, thunderstorms, and occasional high speed winds. Although unpopular amongst many locals, I love rain, thunderstorms, and cloudy, gray weather. Thus, our abstract doodle of the day is inspired by the thunderstorm!

Nerding out over the weather aside, I decided to make a last minute RSVP to another hapé ceremony at The House of the Rising Sun. If I hope to wean my masking tendencies away, it's gonna require collaboration and trust with other people, right? I figured what better way to do so in a sacred space with a medicine woman, a dear friend, and amongst like-minded people. This will be my second sitting with this group and this time, I'll bring my journal and a tarot deck so I can write a few notes if I feel called to.

I plan to write more about the experience in tomorrow's post. For now, I'm closing up my daily blog early and getting ready before the event tonight.

Thanks for being here,

Nadine of the New Moon ♥
